Here are eight web galleries of Eric's paintings.
While his first painting years were limited to small canvases,
a number of the newest paintings are new LARGER Size paintings
(16x20") (20x24") and even (24x36) of Bayou St John,
the Return of the Canal Streetcar, Mardi Gras, Still
Lifes & Nudes, Beaches of Sandestin, Florida amd California
Vineyards. Up until recently, Eric worked on only small scale
paintings because of his loss of his peripheral vision made
him think it was impossible to paint any larger. But
he has challenged himself to to go beyond the norm and try
painting in a bigger format.
"In order to paint on large scales, I need to pause
regularly and step back quite a bit further from the painting
to view it in it's entirety. Of course my fear of painting
on a large scale is much like living Life, You need to step
back at bit to gain a real perspective. Besides. what
fun is life without a challenge." |
